What it is

Lipo-C is the umbrella name for MIC-family injections used in weight-management clinics. The constituents are FDA-approved individually as dietary supplements or B-vitamins, but the compounded injectable is not approved as a single drug product. Evidence for stand-alone fat loss is weak; it is most useful as an adjunct to diet, training, and GLP-1 protocols.

Mechanism

Compounded injection of methionine, inositol, choline (MIC) typically with B12 and L-carnitine. Supports hepatic fat metabolism and shuttles fatty acids for oxidation.

Outcomes it's matched to
Safety

  • B12 allergy (cobalt sensitivity)
  • Active liver disease
Legal context

Dispensed by compounding pharmacies on prescription. Not an approved single-entity drug.
