What it is

SNAP-8 is an extended analog of Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-3). Both work by interfering with the SNARE complex that mediates acetylcholine release. SNAP-8 is marketed as having improved efficacy over Argireline at the same concentration, though independent comparative trials are limited.

Mechanism

Eight-amino-acid peptide that competes with the SNAP-25 protein in the SNARE complex, limiting neurotransmitter release at the neuromuscular junction in expression-line areas.
